Product Overview:

All TheftDefender Sleeves, with exception to Wholesale items, have the TheftDefender "TD" Logo on front and usage notes on the back. Each sleeve is designed to fit only one (1) card or passport per each sleeve.

Technical Overview:

The products contain a paper material which is fused with a special multi-ply laminate with a conductive layer.  The conductive layer creates a barrier which impedes communication between the reader and the card to reduce the chance that sensitive information contained on the card’s RFID chip remains protected when not in use and stored in the sleeve.

This product provides effective shielding at 13.56 MHz and 860-980Mhz by limiting the flow of RF energy between a reader and the “smart” card or other RFID device.  The multi-ply laminate & conductive layer is light weight, water resistant, durable and complies with ISO14443 standards. 

 (Most card and service providers are now starting to use RFID cards that broadcast with a 13.56MHz frequency.  If you not sure, contact your card issuer to determine if what signals it is programmed with.)

Other Uses:

Although designed RFID based cards, you can use the product for non-RFID cards as well.

Possible Ideas: Credit Cards, Library Cards, Drivers Licenses, Student ID’s, Smart Cards, Work ID’s (after hours storage), more… 

Limitations:
These products may not work if the card / reader operates on a different frequency or employs HI(High Intensity) energy emissions.

Some examples of this could include:

• Passive UHF proximity chips running at 902-928 MHz
• UHF cards / Ultra High Frequency cards running at 2.402GHz
• HID I or II proximity cards, typically used for most parking garages or door security systems that emit energy using High Frequency UHF 2.45GHz.
